Yarnologie is Going to Print!

Yarnologie is Going to Print!

When I began Yarnologie in 2018 I didn’t know where it would go. I remember putting together the very first issue and nervously publishing it. Since then it has grown and evolved, and through Yarnologie I’ve had the pleasure of forming many connections with knitters, crocheters, wool growers and designers in Australia and New Zealand.

Now it’s time for Yarnologie to evolve once more.

In March of this year we ran a survey to see how you felt about Yarnologie becoming a printed, paper magazine. And the resounding response was YES PLEASE.

And so, Issue 12 is our last planned digital issue. Soon we’ll be launching a campaign to get Yarnologie to print, with the inaugural paper edition planned for later this year.

This magazine has always been about supporting our local yarn industry, giving a voice to Australia and New Zealand and tying in with our unique southern hemisphere seasons.

To take this exciting next step, we’re asking for your support. Please make sure you are subscribed to our newsletter and following us on Facebook or Instagram. During June we’ll be sharing more of this journey with you before launching our Yarnologie In Print crowdfunding campaign on the 1st of July.

It’s going to be a wonderful event and the start of something really exciting. Yarnologie is Australia and New Zealand’s own journal for knitters, crocheters and yarn lovers. This next step reflects that with a magazine that will be 100% locally made, using sustainable practises and presented in the same contemporary style you know and love.

We can’t wait.
