FAQs

Can I purchase a subscription?

Yarnologie is a journal-style publication, closer to a book than a magazine. Currently we open preroders/subscriptions to individual Volumes several months prior to publication.

Preordering is the best way to ensure you never miss a copy, and it allows us to continue to print Yarnologie locally in Australia.

Can I purchase Yarnologie in stores?

Yes! Please visit our Stockists page to find your nearest retailer.

We have stockists across Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the US & UK.

Do you include patterns in Yarnologie?

No, we do not publish patterns.

Our magazine has always been about supporting our local yarn industry, giving a voice to Australia and New Zealand and tying in with our unique southern hemisphere seasons.

Other industries have journals, so we figured knitters, crocheters, weavers and yarn lovers could have one, too. Something that told our stories, informed readers on different methods and techniques, and overall fuelled our love for yarn.

Do you accept submissions?

We're currently closed for submissions.

How many issues do you publish a year?

We publish two editions a year - Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer

Our Autumn edition goes on-sale on the final Monday of May.

Our Summer edition goes on-sale on the final Monday of November.
